The 49ers are signing wide receiver Dante Pettis to their practice squad, according to Jordan Schultz of The Schultz Report. Pettis was one of nine players who worked out for the team on Tuesday. fishroad-app.com
The move comes as the 49ers face significant injuries at wide receiver, with Ricky Pearsall out for the season, Christian Kirk on injured reserve, and De'Zhaun Stribling and Demarcus Robinson missing time. Pettis, 30, was originally drafted by the 49ers in 2018 (second round) and had 467 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie. He has since played for the Giants, Bears, and Saints, recording nine catches for 127 yards in eight games with New Orleans last season.
