Becton to Sign with Packers After Workout

Published September 28, 2026 · Updated September 28, 2026 · NBC Sports

Mekhi Becton will sign with the Packers after working out with the team on Monday, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

The Packers recently added offensive line help by signing guard Laken Tomlinson after their loss to the Falcons. Now, they're adding more depth with Becton, who was released by the Chargers in March.

Becton has experience with the Jets and Eagles, including starting 14 games during his one season with Los Angeles and being part of the Eagles' Super Bowl-winning team the previous year as their right guard. He was a first-round pick by the Jets in 2020 but had injury issues in 2021-2022. capturengo.org
