Chiefs DB Conner Set for Season Debut

Conner, who led the team in defensive snap percentage last season, is a versatile player who can contribute at nickel or safety. Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo praised the player's tackling abilities and playmaking skills, noting that '27 keeps showing up, making plays' when reviewing film from previous seasons.

In Conner's absence, Jaden Hicks and Alohi Gilman have started at safety, with Hicks playing every snap. Meanwhile, starting left tackle Josh Simmons will miss his fourth consecutive game with a bulging disc in his lower back, with undrafted rookie Khalil Benson filling in. sports24.club
