Flemming and Ipswich floor 10-man Crystal Palace with 90th-minute winner
This victory has been a long time coming for Gary O’Neil. The Millwall supporter from Beckenham, whose son plays for Crystal Palace’s academy, had picked up a solitary point on his previous five trips to this part of south London as a manager. So it was no wonder that he celebrated Zian Flemming’s winning goal in the 90th minute with the same gusto as the travelling Ipswich supporters.
On a topsy-turvy afternoon Palace took the lead before Emersonn and Leif Davis cancelled out Anan Khalaili’s first goal for Palace after Axel Disasi’s red card. Jørgen Strand Larsen equalised with 15 minutes remaining but Khalaili had his head in his hands after missing an open goal minutes later and it was to prove crucial as Flemming – the last of the 14 new players signed by Ipswich in the summer in a record spend of £190m for a promoted side – scrambled home the winner after Davis hit the crossbar with a looping header. chickenroad-game.rodeo

No need for distress flares just yet at Bournemouth. Trust the process, though with new frontiers of European football beckoning, 2,000 fans travelling to San Sebastián next week, there are grounds for concern on the home front. Winning positions have been surrendered in Marco Rose’s four Premier League matches. An unwanted carry over from Andoni Iraola’s tenure cannot be allowed to worsen.
“They scored two goals with two shots on target and we scored two goals with 10 shots on target,” said Rose, ruefully running the numbers. “Two very honest teams who do things really well that can cause you problems,” was Keith Andrews’s far more satisfied summation.

Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh believes he has the best quarterback in NFL history on his roster, even if he hasn't proven it yet.
Harbaugh said on The White House with Michael Irvin that he believes by the time Justin Herbert retires from football, he will be recognized as the best quarterback the game has ever seen.
"Allow me to call my shot, like Babe Ruth pointing his bat over to centerfield: Justin Herbert, when it's all said and done, when his career comes to an end, I predict he will be known as the greatest, best ever to play the position of quarterback," Harbaugh said. "When it's all said and done, and his career is finished, we're going to look back and say, 'Yep, that's the best that ever did it.'"
Herbert is 28 years old and heading into his seventh NFL season, so if he's going to live up to Harbaugh's lofty expectations, he's going to need to get started soon. Herbert is a good quarterback, but not a great one, and his list of career achievements is fairly meager: He's never won a playoff game, never been a first-team All-Pro or league MVP, and never led the league in any major statistical category.
Herbert has never been the best quarterback in the NFL at any time, and certainly not the best of all time. Harbaugh is seeing something in Herbert's potential that Herbert hasn't shown on the field.
