Giants Cut QB Jake Haener

The New York Giants are cutting quarterback Jake Haener, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan, following Brandon Allen's departure.

The Giants are now left with only Jameis Winston behind Jaxson Dart after waiving Haener, who was recently signed and went 9-of-10 for 116 yards and a touchdown in preseason action.

The team is likely to re-sign either Allen or Haener to the practice squad. Allen was 26-of-28 for 224 yards with two interceptions in preseason.
