Guttormsen Takes Third in Finland Pole Vault

Simen Guttormsen achieved 5.60 meters to finish third in a competitive pole vault field at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Finland. He was only beaten by Emmanouil Karalis (5.82m) and KC Lightfoot. Guttormsen cleared 5.25 on his first attempt, needed three attempts for 5.45, and successfully cleared 5.60 on his first try before failing three times at 5.72m. lebandit.lat

In the women's competition, Lene Retzius finished fifth and Kitty Friele Faye sixth, both with 4.40m. Imogen Ayris from New Zealand claimed victory with 4.81m. Notable participants included Sam Kendricks and Valentin Lavillenie who ended behind Guttormsen.
