Jets RB Trayanum transported to hospital with neck injury

Jets rookie running back Chip Trayanum was transported to the hospital with a neck injury after being hit by Giants linebacker Trace Ford during Friday's preseason game.

Trayanum was injured on the final play of the first half as quarterback Cade Klubnik handed him the ball. Medical personnel worked on him for several minutes before he was taken to the hospital wearing a neck brace. moryak.biz

Despite the serious-looking injury, the Jets report Trayanum is awake, alert, and has movement in his extremities. He had 12 carries for 38 yards and a touchdown, plus two receptions for 25 yards in the first half.
