Lynch fumes after controversial draw

Derry City manager Tiernan Lynch was left fuming after several controversial referee decisions in his side's 1-1 draw with Bohemians.

The Derry boss questioned both the sending off of Adam O'Reilly for a second yellow card with eight minutes remaining, and Patrick Hickey's yellow card for catching the ball in mid-air when Dipo Akinyemi appeared through on goal. "I just can't see where that second yellow card came from," Lynch stated. "I'm actually not going to comment on the Patrick Hickey one... every single person in the stadium has seen what happened apart from the referee." ipl-today.in

James Olayinka had given Derry the lead in the first half before Marcus Strods equalized for Bohemians. Despite his frustration, Lynch praised his team's character after going a man down. "I couldn't be any prouder of them," he added. The return from injury of captain Michael Duffy was a positive note for Derry.
