Messi Near Free-Kick Record

Lionel Messi scored his fourth free-kick goal in seven games, bringing him within two goals of Marcelino Carioca's all-time record, but Inter Miami fell 1-2 to Columbus Crew.

Messi's left-footed free-kick from a difficult angle beat the goalkeeper via the far post, equalizing at 1-1 against Columbus Crew. The 39-year-old continues his remarkable free-kick form, now needing just two more goals to surpass Carioca's record of 78 free-kick goals in top-level football between 1988-2009. realschule-moosburg.de

Despite Messi's magic, Inter Miami couldn't secure a victory, conceding an overtime goal that left the reigning champions with just one win in their last ten MLS matches.
