Texans Sign DL Parish to Replace Horton

The Houston Texans have signed defensive end Derek Parish to their 90-man roster to fill the void left by injured DL Dylan Horton.

The Texans made the move after Horton suffered a torn Achilles injury this week. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Parish will join the team as they look to bolster their defensive line depth. The NFL's daily transaction report shows that Horton and linebacker Marte Mapu have been placed on injured reserve.

Parish, a 2023 seventh-round pick of the Jaguars who never played in an NFL game, most recently played for the UFL's DC Defenders this spring. In the UFL, he recorded 23 tackles, four tackles for loss, three sacks, and a forced fumble. Prior to the UFL, he played for Toronto in the CFL. newsbetting.bond
