Contrary to earlier reports, Fightful Select has clarified that Tommaso Ciampa's AEW debut wasn't pushed back from a scheduled January 21 appearance due to weather conditions. The "Psycho Killer" was still under contract with WWE at that time and couldn't have appeared.
Ciampa revealed his debut opportunity came together spontaneously while on a family vacation in Texas. He quickly prepared, debuted on "Dynamite," attended "Collision," won the TNT Championship from Mark Briscoe, and even finished his vacation before returning to AEW programming.
