Jones Makes White House Fight Against Pereira

Despite Dana White calling it "a billion-to-one" odds, Jon Jones appears confirmed for the UFC's White House event against Alex Pereira. Jones, who had previously backed out of a heavyweight title fight against Tom Aspinall, is now negotiating the deal which could be for the interim heavyweight title.

Pereira recently vacated the light heavyweight title to facilitate this matchup. The event coincides with the 250-year-anniversary of American independence and President Trump's 80th birthday, with Jones being the only American fighter with sufficient reputation to headline such a celebration.
