Boston Celtics center Neemias Queta had one of the best games of his life on Sunday night, dominating the Philadelphia 76ers with 27 points, 17 rebounds and three blocks in 27 minutes during the Celtics' 114-98 win at TD Garden.
The 27 points were a career high for Queta, who had a double-double by halftime. He was aggressive getting to the basket and crashing the boards, finishing with 10 free-throw attempts and 10 offensive rebounds.
Queta's big night did not go unnoticed by Celtics fans, who surprisingly showered him with MVP chants multiple times during the second half, perhaps for the first time in his NBA career.

It's been a remarkable progression for the 26-year-old, who went from being Boston's fourth-string center last year to one of the team's most important players on both ends of the floor. He's only missed three games this season and has flourished in his first year as a starter, leading the team in rebounding and ranking second to Derrick White in blocks per game.
Queta's had some monster games this season with 11 double-doubles, including three in his last five games. Sunday's performance was unquestionably his biggest, as he took advantage of a 76ers frontcourt that was without Joel Embiid.
While Jaylen Brown has been the Celtics' MVP this year in Jayson Tatum's absence, Queta's breakout is a huge reason why they're 40-20 and one of the best teams in the NBA.
