The New York Rangers captain will miss time.
J.T. Miller has been placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury that is unrelated to the one that had him miss time earlier in the year, per The Athletic’s Vince Mercogliano.
While on IR, Miller will be out at least seven days and will thus miss games against the Toronto Maple Leafs, New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia Flyers.
After returning from the Olympic break, where he earned a gold medal with Team USA, Miller played in three games before suffering an injury in Monday’s 5-4 overtime loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The 32-year-old has 14 goals and 24 assists in 51 games played with the Rangers this season.
